  • Overview

    The Parts Shipper III packs and prepares product for shipment as specified in the customer order and in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsible for the complete and accurate shipping of all products, Responsible for reporting accuracy of all shipping transactions in ERP system. Supports goals and continued improvement of PDC. Prepare appropriate documentation for shipments. Ownership of basic 5S and housekeeping for area.



    Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, rectifies discrepancies.

    Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers and protective padding may need to create packaging. 

    Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.        

    Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.             


    Other Duties as assigned and the following:

    • Proficiently access information and perform transactions as needed within ERP system
    • Uses initiative and judgment to lead problem solving and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
    • Suggest and implement improvements to existing equipment and/or designs to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
    • Works independently; receives minimal guidance able to achieve KPI’s.
    • Operate UPS/FEDEX machines and coordinate pickups with deliver drivers as necessary.                                                                            
    • Proficient in ERP in creating shipments, adding shipping charges, and upload shipments.                                                                                                                                  
    • Ability to retrieve inventory by location, verify materials to designated areas.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            



    • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
    • 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment and forklift certified.


    • Demonstrated experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
    • Demonstrated experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work.
    • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)


     While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear.  The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
