  • Overview

    This position is responsible for scheduling all engineering test lab in our five Wisconsin based facilities. The Scheduler will be responsible for processing work orders, ensuring all support documents needed for each test are included, verifies testing equipment is available, and notifies supervisor of any issues in a timely manner.  This position is also responsible for inventory control, creating reports, and effectively utilizing two shifts in multiple facilities. This position will report to the lab supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Prepares, issues and controls testing schedules and coordinates with supervisors for test cells, equipment and personnel requirements to ensure a controlled work to support test requirements and schedules
    • Provide critical information on workload assignments, identifying potential conflicts and gaps in workload and ways to improve productivity.
    • Interface directly with the Engineering tam to filter new requests, determine equipment and skill sets required and match resources availability.
    • Coordinate and monitor calibration schedules and records.
    • Confirms that all work order requirements are completed with all needed information to be scheduled.
    • Advises management of the status of work in progress, and potential schedule conflicts with equipment, personnel and test cells.
    • Collaborate with engineering and logistic to assure all the parts, drawings and instructions are available prior to scheduling the test in the lab.
    • Gather data and track key performance indicators within the labs including standard test time variance.
    • Control logistics of on and off-site inventory and equipment assets. Properly dispose of test equipment.
    • Other Duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School education, GED, or equivalent certification.
    • 5 years’ experience in production scheduling, shop scheduling, or lab scheduling

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5 years’ experience in SAP
    • 5 years’ experience in QATrax or MS Project data base / scheduling software

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
