    Generac Power Systems- Come work for the leader in the power industry!  Our office in Waukesha, WI is seeking a IT Sr Manager-Integrations.

     

    The Sr Manager-Integrations is responsible for assuring that the current and the future state of system architecture is unified, has a planned evolution, reduces integration complexity, and ensures high availability. Designs must provide for scalability, extensibility, consistency, flexibility, and supportability. The individual will work closely with the Global SAP COE, infrastructure, Applications Platforms team and the IT Service Delivery team to support new technology rollouts as well as ongoing technical support.  Keeping up with SAP and other application technology.  Deliver solutions within scope, budget and timeline.

    Responsibilities

    Day to Day Operations

    • Work as Technical lead with Applications functional leads and infrastructure to troubleshoot day to day issues
    • Incident and Problem management with a focus on Root Cause Analysis and resolution
    • Work closely with Infrastructure to provide High Availability platform
    • Oversee efforts of system monitoring and performance
    • Responsible for managing upgrades/patches in the database, middleware and applications layers
    • Provides technical support to users on matters related to complex SAP global environments

    Leadership

    • Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team.
    • Manages performance - recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary.
    • Provide project management oversight on project; manage project plan, resources, timeline and budget.
    • Manage BASIS activity with internal/external resources

     

    Strategy and Continuous Improvement

    • Stay abreast of current technology; adopt and incorporate as appropriate
    • Work as Systems Architect and lead new technology research
    • Participate in business and IT process governance and optimization
    • Define technical roadmaps for Enterprise Applications - Pave the way to define and plan a Hybrid On-Prem & Cloud Strategy that best supports Generac’s business
    • Serve as part of the IT’s Applications management group and participate in department-wide efforts to establish departmental priorities, implement standards, promote process improvements, and increase efficiency and effectiveness
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent experience;
    • 7 years of experience in Information Technology;
    • 2 years of experience directly managing or leading a team on one or more significant technology projects.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience working with cross functional and global teams;
    • BI Hana Live (side-car) experience;
    • Experience with Windows Server and SQL server platform
    • Technology and/or project management certifications
    • Experience supporting SAP Technical Basis functions in a large-sized complex SAP system landscape including ECC6/CRM/PI/BI/Portal/Solution Manager systems

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Clear understanding of BASIS, SAP Integrations, SAP Environment, general SAP Cloud Hosting concepts, Applications Security, SAP Data Management, Solution Manager, Application Platform Management on Windows Server, SQL Server and various integration technologies/techniques.
    • Ability to drive vendor/third party management through negotiation and completion of work
    • Experience leading triage and critical problem solving of integration functions on enterprise-scale solutions.
    • Architectural best practices, documentation, analytical and problem solving skills
    • An understanding of TOGAF definitions, concepts and methods
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    •  Ability to work effectively across a wide range of constituencies in a diverse corporate and client environment.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel, including international.
