  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Materials Manager, coordinate and expedite the receiving, stocking, fulfillment and logistic activity related to the Service Parts Center to ensure delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations. 


    • Organize and maintain service parts warehouse, establishing inventory locations to ensure efficient use of space and placement of service parts
    • Receive parts inventory through receiving and production line areas, performing material movements through MRP system
    • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and safety stock levels are maintained
    • Run parts shortage report on a daily basis, attend daily production meetings to advise Purchasing of shortages and confirm availability of on order parts
    • Review parts orders as received to determine availability and quality of parts
    • Follow established practice for confirming last minute, next day orders with Customer Service.
    • Stage orders for shipment, based on destination, size, weight, and priority status
    • Determine method of shipment and required packaging (crated, palletized, or boxed, etc), weight and size constraints are according to shipper’s criteria and contact appropriate carrier (international, domestic, parcel post, UPS, etc) to establish pickup of orders
    • Process paperwork associated with shipment
    • Provide customer with quality parts by performing quality inspection of parts at point of receiving and staging, and  inspection of final packaging prior to shipment
    • Practice safe work habits, follow safety guidelines and support company safety initiatives


    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Requisition crating lumber, shipping containers, supplies as required for shipments
    • Verify receipt of incoming service parts inventory as to identification, quality and quantity
    • Maintain neat and orderly work area to promote an efficient and quality driven process
    • Work with Technical Support to develop and maintain inventory stocking levels and slow moving parts
    • Provide Logistics Specialist with carrier assessment as to reliability and condition of packages received by customer


    • High school diploma or equivalent -required and 1 year experience in a warehouse or inventory-related position or equivalent along with some assembly experience - preferred
    • Experience using Win Magi—ability to use Win Magi as a tool for processing and locating parts strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of various shipping regulations and shipping procedures
    • Ability to organize workflow and to prioritize based on level of urgency and importance
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills
    • Basic math skills and ability to work with numerical detail
    • Ability to operate a forklift-preferred
    • Ability to work overtime and/or nonstandard hours as needed
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment


    Physical Demands/Work Environment

    • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance or equipment occasionally.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
    • The employee is constantly required to stand; walk long distances; reach above shoulders; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Hand/eye coordination is constantly Handlers are required to turn and twist to ensure view all around at all times while operating equipment.
    • Ability to work within environment with fluctuating temperatures constantly. (Seasonal climate changes)
