    Generac Power Systems – Work with the leader in the power industry! The Consumer Power team is seeking a National Sales Manager.  This position will be located in our office in Waukesha, WI.

     

    Reporting to the Vice President of Sales-Retail, this position is responsible for developing and implementing national sales strategies for increasing sales and profits through Catalog, Pro Products and STAFDA  customers. The National Sales` Manager will be responsible for identifying, creating and implementing a national sales strategy focused on growing existing business and gaining maximum customer satisfaction and sales growth for the assigned channel. You will maintain close communication with buyers and key personnel at all required levels within assigned accounts to come up with creative solutions to complex selling challenges.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans focused on growing sales
    • Analyze and review sales trends by region and identify opportunities and threats
    • Develop relationships with the independent field agents and work as a team to engage new client opportunities
    • Drive flawless service execution, analyze the current business and implement new strategies
    • Develop trusting and productive relationships with clients
    • Expand our existing business and focus on ways to expand our business into new areas

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Minimum of 5 years successful recent experience working with national or retail accounts 
    • 2 years previous leadership experience
    • Valid Driver License Required
    • Ability to travel overnight up to 40%

    • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic sales plans focused on growing sales
    • Proven ability to overcome obstacles and provide creative and successful sales solutions
    • Demonstrated ability to build executive relationships and sell strategically to major retail accounts
    • Proven business planning, budgeting and P&L skills
    • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP

     

    Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
