    Generac Power Systems Join the leader in the power industry! Generac is seeking a 2nd shift Distribution Center Lead at our Edgerton facility.

    In this role, you will be helping to Lead the activities of the Distribution Center on 2nd Shift. 


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Works independently; receives minimal guidance able to achieve KPI’s
    • Operate UPS/FEDEX machines and coordinate pickups with deliver drivers as necessary •Ability to transfer inventory from location to another systematically                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
    • Proficient in ERP in creating shipments, adding shipping charges, and upload shipments                                          
    • Solves problems; demonstrates decision-making skills                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
    • Ability to retrieve inventory by location, verify materials to designated areas                                                                                                                                                                                                     
    • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, rectifies discrepancies                   
    • Forklift Certified
    • Acts as a leader and trainer for area.
    • Represents stability with attendance, quality and attention to detail •Offers recommendations, implements solutions and takes ownership of the picking area                                                                  
    • Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers and protective padding may need to create packaging.                                
    • Uses company equipment and materials properly.                                                                                     
    • Strives to increase productivity.                  
    • Approaches others in a tactful manner, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of status or position.                                                                               
    • Accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.

    Basic Qualifications:


    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 0-2 years of experience
    • Detail oriented and organized
    • Parts Distribution Experience and ability to meet KPI’s
    • Ability to train others

    • Basic computer knowledge



    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.  The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Temperatures can vary from cool to warm depending upon the season. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
