  • Overview

    The Account Manager – International is responsible for identifying market opportunities for Generac products and determining distribution structure and channels. This role identifies, assesses, attracts and negotiates with potential partners in Retail and Hardware channels.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identify opportunities and challenges within account base and create strategies to maximize sell through, profit, revenue, and market share.
    • Develop accurate and detailed metrics to facilitate effective business forecasting and resource allocation.
    • Drive flawless service execution, analyze the current business, and implement new strategies.
    • Expand our existing business and focus on ways to expand our business in new areas
    • Coordinates all aspects of Generac transactions (e.g., sales, legal, credit/payment, logistics, OE, and shipment) with customers.
    • Coordinates all marketing activities with customers.
    • Champion and capitalize on category review, competitive gaps, and promotional windows to gain placement.
    • Analyze and review sales trends by store and identify opportunities and threats.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop productive and strategic relationships with all internal cross functional areas
    • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic sales plans focused on growing sales
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    ·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience;

    ·         3 years’ experience working with retail accounts in Hardware and/or tool channels.

    ·         3 years’ experience in international logistics and customs requirements.

    *         Fluency in Spanish

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

                           

    ·         Experience in markets in the region

    ·         Proven business planning, budgeting, and P&L skills

    ·         Effective presentation skills; effective negotiation skills

    ·         Strategic selling, training, or consultative sales experience a plus

    ·         Global selling experience preferred

    ·         Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.
