    Generac Power Systems – Work with the leader in the power industry! Our office in Waukesha, WI is seeking a Shared Services Clerk.


    Under general supervision, the Shared Services Clerk supports the Accounting Department with accounts payable, credit memo processing, and cash application.  This position reports directly to the Shared Services Manager.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Process AP vouchers and related credit / debit memos.
    • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
    • Verify three way match for all production POs.
    • Verify non-production PO’s match invoices.
    • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
    • Respond to vendor, buyer & interdepartmental requests.
    • Review AP statements.
    • Process and review Credit Memos related to product returns, allowances, and freight damage for accuracy as well as ensuring all necessary support and approvals are provided.
    • Act as back-up for duties within Shared Services and support other accounting activities as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • 2 years of experience in an administration role


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficient with MS Office, Excel specifically;
    • Understanding of basic Accounting principles and a thorough knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger standard procedures;
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately;
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
    • Experience with accounts payable or credit memos in a manufacturing setting;
    • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP. 


    Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
