  • Overview

    As an Account Manager - eCommerce you will have the responsibility to lead some of Generac's most important clients to achieve short and long-range strategic objectives through successful planning and execution of sales strategies. The eCommerce account manager must understand coding and content of a site to get the best ranking on a search engine as well as the complicated algorithm associated with that coding. You will work cross-functionally with other retail sales channels within Generac, and you will have responsibility in managing several omnichannel accounts. This position will report to the National Sales Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans focused on growing sales
    • Develop and maintain solid client relationships with a portfolio of E-commerce partners
    • Understand the parameters of a company's online presence to determine how to optimize sales
    • Provide maintenance of online presence, including inventory & sales analysis, merchandising, content, and accuracy of online data
    • Professionally handle incoming calls from customers and ensure that issues, concerns, and/or questions are resolved both promptly and thoroughly
    • Perform data analysis and problem solving for vendor partners with E-Commerce platforms
    • Monitor account performance metrics and work with E-Commerce platforms to ensure highest possible feedback ratings

     

    • Strive for digital excellence and dominance with our on-line partners. 
    • Responsible for site improvement and enhancement to account managers/customers
    • Provide strategic marketing campaigns (AMS, Google messaging) that positively impact brand positioning and relevance 
    • Write creative briefs, rationales, project/call summaries and professional emails
    • Schedule and facilitate internal/external meetings
    • Grasp of Web design software to properly critique
    • Responsible for all online activities including content audits, marketing campaigns and promotions. Web maintenance and troubleshooting are ongoing for all websites.
    • Strong understanding of Web analytic software that track the success of a site
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 2 years related experience in sales or marketing
    • Valid driver license and ability to travel up to 25%


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in the relevant assigned channel or customer area (for example: Hardware, Home Center, Big Box retail, e-commerce, etc.) is a plus.
    • Experience with web content providers
    • Proven success in developing and fostering business relationships.
    • Detailed, focused, and organized. Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial culture.
    • The ability to transfer information while speaking in small and large groups.
    • Excellent communication/presentation skills.
    • Strong negotiation skills, excellent people skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations to success.
    • Understand business marketing as well as the technology used for generating online sales.
    • Experience in eCommere marketplaces preferred.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel. Ability to travel up to 25%.
