    Generac Power Systems – Work with the leader in the power industry! Our subsidiary, PRAMAC, a worldwide provider of power generators and handling equipment is seeking a National Account Manager to support and grow North America sales of our Lifter material handling equipment.  This position will be located at our Waukesha Headquarters.  

     

    The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing sales for Lifter material handling equipment solutions in the assigned strategic market. The role will work directly with material handling dealers, industrial supply companies, DIY chains(retail box stores) and will utilize previous technical knowledge and experience to grow sales and improve specification rates while driving general acceptance of the Lifter Products.  Additionally this position will collaborate closely with the Generac headquarters Commercial team and PRAMAC headquarters team (located in Italy) to develop a complementary business growth process.  This person will be responsible for the promotion and technical sales/support of Lifter products with a focus on strategic initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish sales distribution network in US and Canada;

    • Establish after sales service network.
    • Build a long term growth plan of the US activity to support and sustain customer’s requirements.
    • Drive growth of the business by providing clear indications to the HQ on market needs in terms of products and support.
    • Assess market requirements and define correct commercial go to market strategy.
    • Define correct sales and pricing strategy to maximize business profitability and value for customers.
    • Develop and implement business growth plan for assigned strategic market.
    • Develop a sales pipeline and execute towards the established business plan.
    • Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary.
    • Develops trusting and productive relationships with clients.
    • Investigates product and service concerns and ensures resolution of customer issues.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 3 years successful recent experience in technical sales.
    • Valid Driver License
    • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally and in Canada.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Able to recognize market trends and evaluate competitor strengths and weakness;
    • Ability to communicate at the executive level as well as operational level;
    • Ability to understand the complex sales process and direct closure strategies;
    • Experience with pricing and executing sales strategies;
    • Effective negotiation skills;
    • Effective presentation skills and ability to speak in front of groups;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Capable to work independently and by objectives;
    • Strong commercial and negotiation skills;
    • Capable to start a new business from zero building and controlling all the key steps;
    • Previous experience with managing regional or national accounts with multiple decision makers responsible for direction of the business.
    • Previous experience designing and driving marketing plans directly related to product expansion and penetration in the marketplace
    • New business development and new product launch experience

     

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel. Ability to travel up to 50%.
