The Corporate Quality Project Manager (CQPM) is responsible for developing, deploying, and managing programs, projects, and processes related to quality and continuous improvement directives across the enterprise. The CQPM increases customer satisfaction and reduces business risk throughout the product lifecycle by supporting new product launches, supply chains, manufacturing, assembly, service, quality management systems, and compliance. The CQPM serves as the subject matter expert pertaining to quality-based principles, methods, disciplines, systems, requirements, and tools plus trains company personnel in these as appropriate.


  • Lead and manage quality-focused projects including effective project management, coordination and deployment of resources, and writing and delivering reports.
  • Monitor, analyze, report, and effectively use quality data to increase customer satisfaction and reduce risk.
  • Drive root cause analyses and problem solving utilizing Generac Quality Management System processes, LEAN methodology, and Six Sigma tools.
  • Present quality-related information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct improvement-focused internal and external quality audits.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders.
  • Evaluate situations objectively and demonstrate the ability to make decisions that have a positive impact on work performance and the total business.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or educational equivalent;
  • 3 years of experience in an operations or quality role;
  • 2 years of improvement or project management related experience;

Additional Qualifications:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong project leadership skills within a collaborative environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams and individuals cross-functionally and cross-site;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or other Quality Assurance industry standards;
  • Knowledge of quality processes and tools;
  • Product and process auditing experience;
  • Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze and communicate with well-supported data;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis software;
  • Teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience;
  • Ability to travel 20 – 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of process improvement and/or Six Sigma tools and methodology;
  • Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, and/or Lean Certification;
  • Experience working with International Companies and in a matrix organization;
  • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.
