The purpose of the Inspector is to ensure that Magnum quality standards have been met and the product is to specifications. Quality Inspector will be reviewing the in-process and final assembled product, and identify any defects with process and procedure.


  • Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies, and fabricated parts from our internal and external supply base.
  • Perform inspections on in-process and finished products to standards defined by Quality and Engineering.
  • Reject products if not to print or process docs.
  • Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
  • Verify all deviations have been installed properly.
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate issues to all levels of the organization.


  • Minimum of 90 days employment with Generac Mobile Products.
  • Electromechanical experience required. Knowledge of Magnum Power Products equipment preferred. Previous mechanical inspections experience a plus.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Ability to read prints/drawings, process docs and electrical schematics.
  • Working knowledge of tooling and measurement instruments used in assembly preferred.




While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.  The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Temperatures can vary from cool to warm depending upon the season. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies(Occasionally=1-25% of the time; frequently=26-75% of the time; constantly=76-100% of the time)
