Generac Power Systems – Work with the leader in the power industry!  Our office in Waukesha, WI is seeking an outgoing, sales oriented individual to work with our Marketing Division.


The Consumer Sales and Marketing team is expanding! The Consumer Sales Specialist provides product support through inbound calls, chats and outbound response efforts. Identifying and anticipating consumer needs, the Consumer Sales Specialist will also schedule In-Home Assessments, with our Generac PowerPlay dealers, offer promotional incentives, when appropriate and provide on-going support, to consumers and dealers, throughout the sales life-cycle.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide information, answers, and solutions, to consumers, regarding Generac residential product offerings.
  • Answer inbound calls, respond to consumer chat inquiries, and provide professional communication via email, to Generac consumers and dealers.
  • Provide continuous support and relationship management, to consumers and dealers, throughout the in-home assessment and decision making process.
    • Outbound direct calls to consumers, offering relevant promotions, and post assessment support
    • Outbound, direct calls to consumers who have experienced impact in outage impacting situations
    • Outbound marketing/sales to consumers, outside of funnel, assess level of interest and reignite sales process


Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates degree, or if no degree, 2 years of experience in sales, retail, marketing, or customer service.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in sales, retail, marketing, or customer service.
  • Ability to provide superior sales and support, to consumers, over the phone, chat and email.
  • Demonstrated ability to input information, perform inquiries, run reporting, using MS Word, Excel and or various databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make mutually beneficial decisions for both the company and our valued customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities according to importance and urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree preferred.
