Overview

Generac Power Systems – Join the leader in the power industry! Generac is seeking a National Account Manager to support our retail sales partners and their brick and mortar and .com sales strategies.   The ideal candidate will be located in the Milwaukee area and will develop and implement national sales strategies for increasing sales and profits.  You will manage national or major (key) accounts as well as call on national accounts, present sales material, attend trade shows, and lead product line reviews.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans focused on growing sales at retail and .com accounts.
  • Analyze and review sales trends by region and identify opportunities and threats
  • Drive flawless service execution, analyze the current business and implement new strategies
  • Develop trusting and productive relationships with clients
  • Expand our existing business and focus on ways to expand our business into new areas

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field OR 7 years related experience working in a similar environment
  • Minimum 3 years successful recent experience working with retail in the brick and mortar and .com space. Preferred experience with Home Depot, Costco, and other mass merchant types.  
  • Valid Driver License Required
  • Ability to travel internationally in Canada.Travel estimated at 50%.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement strategic sales plans focused on growing sales
  • Proven ability to overcome obstacles and provide creative and successful sales solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive relationships and sell strategically to large wholesale accounts
  • Proven business planning, budgeting and P&L skills
  • Strategic selling training or consultative sales experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Up to 50% travel and valid Driver’s License required.
